False Echo - survive your own ghosts
False Echo is a free arcade survival game with a single twist: you are the only enemy. Collect a gold orb and the game records the path you took to reach it, then replays that path forever as a glowing ghost. Score two points and two ghosts are retracing your steps. Score twenty and the arena is a maze built entirely out of your own decisions.
How to play
- Move with the arrow keys or WASD. On a phone, rest your thumb anywhere on the arena and drag — the blip moves with your thumb, so your hand never covers it.
- Touch the gold orb to score.
- Every orb spawns an echo that loops the path you just walked.
- A new echo shimmers for a moment before it turns solid, so you always get a fair chance to move away.
- Touch any solid echo and the run ends.
The trick good players learn
Beginners sprint straight at every orb, which carves a fast ghost right through the middle of the arena. Better players take wide, lazy loops around the edges, because a lazy path becomes a lazy ghost that is easy to live beside. Your score is not just how many orbs you grabbed — it is how survivable you made the room while grabbing them.
